Collection: Scars of Silver & Gold

This collection resonates with me particularly. I got inspired to paint "Scars of Silver & Gold" series after listening to the lyrics of Lorde's song: 

  I'm a princess cut from marble,

              smoother than a storm

  And the scars that mark my body,

                   they're silver and gold

  My blood is a flood of rubies,

                       precious stones

  It keeps my veins hot,

  The fire's found a home in me…

It made me wonder of how every significant event in your life, every big choice, every important person you met,  all leave their own marks on you. Whether good, bad or ugly, these "scars" shape you into a person you are, they are of Silver and Gold.  I wear mine as medals.
