"Of Earth and Air"

I'm working on a new collection of the oil paintings in Abstract Realism. 

I wanted it to be a fusion of natural and surreal motifs: calming earthy tones challenged by occasional notes of bold and delicious violet, gold, coral, blue and purple. 

I'm really enjoying myself. I found this Collection to be very therapeutic with its soft, smoky brushstrokes and layered effects giving the paintings some dreamy, ethereal quality.  Yet, not too calm.  In some pieces I integrated geometric shapes, adding a sense of modernity and contrast to the organic backgrounds. Always a Rebel!
