The table that keeps you

Mixed media + oil - 40 x 40 x 4cm (16 x 16in)

“We’re all mad here.”

“The table that keeps you” is a part of the Midnight in Wonderland abstract series.

Imagine the perfect tea party—or, as they might say in Wonderland, the most perfect tea party.

Your favourite people around the table. Familiar faces. Funny jokes. Steaming, fragrant tea. Delicious desserts. You might think, I could stay in this moment forever.

But what if you couldn’t leave? What if this perfect moment became your golden cage?

That is the Hatter’s punishment for offending Time.  He has comfort. He has company. But he cannot move forward.

Alice can. At the heart of this series is the duality of human nature—the opposing pull between the need for comfort and desire for exploration.

This is an Original 16 by 16 inch mixed media & oil painting on a gallery-wrapped canvas. It comes with the wiring on the back and is ready to hang, right out of the box.
