My Inspirations
So many things inspire me - stories of emotions, of truth and passion, beauty of people, beauty of nature, philosophical musings and quests for understanding, man-made miracles, fantasy, space, animals, plants, birds... I can go on forever! The file of ideas for the future paintings keeps growing, if only there were enough hours in a day for me!
I love trying new techniques, experimenting with colours and textures, playing with different media and tools.
My artistic growth is driven by a constant curiosity, wonder and a refusal to be confined to a single style or subject. That’s why I work in collections, each one an opportunity to dive deeply into a particular theme or approach. I pick a style, play with it, explore it from different angles, and when I feel I’ve said what I needed to, I move on to the next idea. That way, my creativity always stays fresh and brimming with energy.

My Studio
For over 25 years I've been living in a in
a beautiful, serene area in South East of London. I love my studio - always a source of inspiration to me - full of natural light, with the open view to the skyscapes outside. And plants. And music. Always the music!
And always there are a few paintings in different stages of unfinished in my studio, so I can easily find something I'm in the mood to paint every day.
I usually have three to six pieces in progress at the same time. This keeps my process lively and flexible, allowing me to experiment without getting too attached to a single painting. If I hit a block or start to overthink a piece, I simply set it aside and focus on another. I found that coming back to a painting with fresh eyes often reveals new possibilities and directions I hadn’t considered before. For me, this approach is all about keeping the energy flowing and giving myself the freedom to explore, experiment, and grow as an artist.

My creative process
Art has always been my passion. I want my pieces to provoke intriguing ideas, deep thoughts and strong emotions.
I’m deeply inspired by the power of words and often weave interesting quotes, song lyrics, poetry, and lines from the favourite films or books onto my art. I like to collage such elements onto the canvas. The collectors of my art often comment that all those hidden details add layers of depth and interest to my paintings, a reward for those who take time to look deeper into them.
The next stage is dressing up that arty mess in rich colours, calming it down with some neutrals, adding on layers of textures and oil paint. And so, suddenly, the painting comes alive. I love the moment when I look at it and go "oh, yeah, THAT's what it wanted to be!"
