The lure of the other side

Mixed media + oil - 40 x 40 x 4cm (16 x 16in)

“How she longed to get out of that dark hall and wander about among those beds of bright flowers and those cool fountains…”

“The lure of the other side” is a part of the Midnight in Wonderland abstract series, exploring the endless tug-of-war between two primal forces within us: the need to remain safe and grounded, and its restless twin - the desire to explore the unknown.

Wonderland is a world of constant transformation, a maze of endless excitement, illusion and danger.
And now Alice suddenly finds herself pulled toward something else. That glowing yellow light, a promise of warmth and safety - she craves it now after all the excitement.  Like a bright beacon, a ray of hope in the black and white world of uncertainty.

This is an Original 16 by 16 inch mixed media & oil painting on a gallery-wrapped canvas. It comes with the wiring on the back and is ready to hang, right out of the box.
