“Somewhere else” is a part of Midnight in Wonderland abstract series inspired by the hidden depths of a cherished childhood favourite -Alice in Wonderland,. 

I've explored the space between consciousness and dreams—that threshold moment when logic surrenders to imagination.

To me the checkerboard always associated with Alice —not only because it was a theme of “Through the looking glass”, but also because it’s a symbol of life’s duality and choices. The path never simply lies flat, but bends and transforms, a tension between the structured and the organic, the rational and the fantastical.

This is an Original 16 by 16 inch mixed media & oil painting on a gallery-wrapped canvas. It comes with the wiring on the back and is ready to hang, right out of the box.
